The Timeline

I am often asked when I expect to be in Mexico City, so I thought I might take a moment to sketch the timeline that I expect to be following over the next several months.
July - During the month of July, I will attend the wedding of seminary friends mid-month and then proceed to Atlanta, where I will undergo RUF staff training for the last two weeks of the month.
August - During August, I will hopefully be examined for ordination by the North Texas Presbytery and be accepted by that august ecclesial body as a minister of the gospel. The written examinations should happen around the second week of the month, with the oral and floor examinations (including the preaching of a sermon) transpiring the last weekend in August.
September - During September I will continue to raise support and will attend MTW’s “Living in Grace” training for a week in Atlanta.
December - During December I will be in Atlanta to complete one more week of RUF training.
Cross Cultural Training – MTW requires a month of cross cultural training, which they offer during two different time windows in Belgium. If I can take the training in Colorado, I may be able to get to the field before the semester beginning with the new year. If not, I may not actually have my feet on the ground in the Federal District until February 2005.
